Cavalier Health Tracker (the "Service") is operated by Tonya Wilhelm. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used.

1. Information you provide

Account details: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and a password (stored securely, never in plain text).
Your home ZIP code or city, used to look up real barometric pressure and weather data for your dog's log entries.
Your dog's information and health logs: name, symptom entries, pain scores, respiratory and heart rate counts, cough and exercise entries, medications, vaccines, and vet contact details you choose to save.
Anything you send us directly, like a contact form message.

2. Information from using the Service

Basic account activity, like login sessions, so you can stay signed in securely.
If you enable push or in-app notifications, the technical subscription details needed to deliver them.

3. How we use this information

We use your information to:

Run the core features of the app — logging, charts, weather-linked pressure data, and PDF reports you generate.
Send account, billing, medication/vaccine/appointment reminder, and reply-to-contact emails.
Process payments and manage your subscription (see Payments below).
Occasionally send product updates or trial-related emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Keep the Service secure and working correctly.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your dog's health data for anything beyond running and improving the Service.

4. Sharing with caregivers

If you invite a caregiver, they can see the log history and dog information you grant access to, for the time period you control. If you're invited as a caregiver, the dog's owner can see the entries you log. This sharing is a core part of how the Service works and is visible to you within the app.

5. Third-party services we use

Stripe — processes subscription payments. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles that directly.
Resend — delivers transactional emails (reminders, receipts, contact replies).
MailerLite — sends trial and product update emails, for accounts that haven't opted out.
Visual Crossing — supplies the barometric pressure and weather data used in your logs and forecasts.
Endorsely — tracks affiliate referral links so we can credit the right affiliate for a sale.
Supabase — hosts our database, where your account and log data is stored.
Vercel — hosts the application itself.

Each of these providers only receives the information needed to perform their part of the Service.

6. Data retention

If you cancel your account, we keep your data rather than deleting it automatically, in case you decide to come back. If you'd like your data permanently deleted instead, contact us and we'll take care of it.

7. Your choices

You can review or update most of your account information directly from the Account page. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion, contact us using the details below.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adult dog owners and caregivers and isn't directed at children under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
